Though we were a little shocked by her surprising costume for the Met Gala 2016, the queen will always be the queen. She was born a star…as proven by her ageless beauty and superstar success since the 1980s. Despite criticism regarding her age, fashion, and musical taste in her latest video ‘Bitch I’m Madonna’, we get it. Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, etc…. so many young, fresh rising stars have been emerging in the spotlight over the years (in fact, we don’t even know all of them!)  A superstar like Madonna has to do something in order to spark new interest, right?

Have you caught up with our Deco Haus Instagram? We’ve had lots of activity lately. In fact, one of our favorite international clients tagged us in several photos this week. Katowice (aka Rockagirl),a gorgeously tattooed pin-up model, did a photo shoot with Polish photographer Paulina Siwiec and the #BTS (behind-the-scenes) looked absolutely stunning! (you can view the photos here) Hair and makeup was also on FIRE! From Hollywood to Europe, it has always been a pleasure to share our designs across the globe! Luxury vintage, especially 1920s inspired, is specific to the right person and the right occasion (as compared to fast-fashion clothing like H&M, Zara, etc..)  However, as our fashion shows/Instagram demonstrate, we’re just as modern, versatile, and ever-changing!

Rewind: Get Fergie 1920s Look

Are you ready to get the 1920s look inspired by Fergie’s music video A Little Party Never Killed Nobody? This video personified the joy and celebration of the Jazz Age. In the video, we were impressed by not only the music, but also the creative design. Black, silver, and gold were the main colors. The setting and decor epitomized the glamorous life of high society from that era. Money, music, society, and celebration…the four factors of a 1920’s party. However, we don’t need to hire a stylist to get a look like Fergie’s!  Here at The Deco Haus, we have the perfect pieces for any Jazz Age look.

How to Mix & Match The Deco Haus Capelet

Printed scarves and  silky shoulder wraps aren’t on our radar anymore, because we are literally obsessed with the ‘capelet’….more and more each day! What is a capelet? It is a smaller-sized cape usually used as a covering for the shoulders. Remember when the stunning cape dress that Kim K wore during her pregnancy last year broke the internet? That was amazing, however now less is more. Let’s focus on the accessory instead, shall we? Alright guys, the moment we were waiting for is over! Coachella 2016 has officially begun, and we just can’t wait to see what A-list celebrities, YouTubers, and fashion bloggers are wearing this year. We are totally envious of those who are able to attend, because we can’t *cry*.    Nothing is more fashion-inspiring than music festivals!  It’s the time of the year when we can see all our “it” girls in person.  Still can’t find the perfect outfit for the festival? Here are some of our festival top picks inspired by Coachella in previous years.

Why Velvet Fashion Matters?

It’s glam, it’s rock, it’s unique…..we can’t really find the right words to describe why velvet fashion is so on point.  In looking at the above photo of Cara Delevingne, we want to give a big thumbs up to her velvet style. The color, hairdo, bag, and shoes – this lady is the real deal in the modeling industry. Though it can be too hot for velvet pieces in LA, the big question is ‘Can the weather stop us from wearing our favorite clothes ?’ We don’t know about you, but for us, the answer is ‘NO’!  We love seeing people embrace their fashion items, even though they may not suitable for the temperature. Is a faux fur biker jacket only made for Autumn or Winter? Nope, we don’t think so.

Celebrity’s Seductive Nude Fashion

Nude is one of our favorite tones of the year. After being spammed by celebrities showing us sexy nude palettes on Instagram, we are totally obsessed. Inspired by the curvy dress Kimye wore and the sexy nude lipstick worn by her sister…we just had to add nudes to our collection too! The latest item we added is the Cream 1920’s Inspired Vintage Lace Jacket. In getting ready for sunshine this summer, it’s a good time to get some “must-have” pieces.  Apart from the kimono jacket trend we represented in the previous article, lace is a great option as well!

Slumber Party In Style

When we were young, we threw slumber parties with our girls a lot! Why? Maybe one of the reasons is that we could go wild!  By that, we mean non-stop talking, eating junk food (ice-cream!), trying on makeup, etc. Don’t you just LOVE it when you can gather with your best friends for a night and have nothing but fun with your own #squad? When dressing for your next “big girl” slumber party, if you don’t want to wear the same old pj’s ….why not show off a sexy slip instead!?

It’s All About the ‘Lace’

Now that the weekend is over, we just don’t know whether to say YAY or NAY! Our coffee game is going strong, especially for the first two days of the week (anyone else?). There are a lot of things going on in-house because our new party dress line has been launched recently, and we are overwhelmed by the great feedback from our beloved customers! However, we are also inspired by the lace trend in Hollywood, as we browse for muses online. Why lace? Obviously, we love fashion, we love celebrity, and we love it feminine.
